Let's start with the importance of self-care. It is foundational, without it we cannot function properly. We can use the analogy of our cars; We use and rely upon them to take us where we need and would like to go, safely, timely, comfortably and conveniently. To do this we need to put good fuel in, or our car will run rough and simply won't go! Oil and water are essential, as is checking our tyres and regular maintenance and services. We clean our cars for comfort and hygiene so they are a pleasure to be in. If we don't take care of these things our car runs rough, becomes unreliable or ends up in the hospital, a.k.a the mechanics.

Self care includes eating well, drinking plenty of water, exercise or healthy outdoor activities, a regular good nights rest, reading and filling our minds with good positive thoughts. But self-care also includes taking time out to just be! Spending time alone with our thoughts, time to relax, unwind, rejuvenate and rejoice in the wonder that is you.

Make you time a wonderful habit! What is it you love to do? Would love to try? Be honest dig deep and remember this time it's all about you! No guilt please!

Because not only do you benefit from allowing yourself time out, but so do all those around you! Encourage them to do the same - they need it too!

You deserve to pamper yourself! A massage, pedicure - time out to relax, unwind and rejuvenate!

Journalling is an excellent tool to grow, discover, explore, work through or just express yourself, find your passion or plan your dreams!

Time out to read an exciting adventure or informational books that help you expand, learn and grow!

Take a walk in nature, breath in the fresh air. Enjoy the beauty and the peace from nature!

Find your own perfect little coffee shop.

A table for one!

Start a gratitude journal! Express and acknowledge the many wonderful things in your life you are grateful for!

Get creative!

Find a hobby; paint, knit, sew, build, draw, write!

Learn a meditation. Find a beautiful peaceful spot, and just be - alone with your thoughts or no thoughts at all!

Visit an old library. You never know what exciting adventure you'll find or new information you'll discover.

Take the time to notice and enjoy your surroundings when your out and about! Stop and actually smell the roses!

Buy yourself some flowers, just because you deserve it!

Enjoy them in your home!
