Personal Development for Life - Whats Your Story
October 09, 2016

What's Your Story?

Within Everyone is a Book A Story to be told, lessons to be learnt, triumphs to be celebrated, smiles and laughter to be shared!

WHATS YOUR STORY?

We love telling stories, we always have and always will.

As a child it was always a wonderful treat to snuggle up in bed and listen while our parents read us a story. As a parent it became our treat and joy to then tell these stories (and new ones) to our children. I know my boys and I read alot together when they were younger. Quite often we'd make up our own crazy adventure. Glorious memories!

Hans Christian Anderson 1805-1875, most well known for his fairy tales, brought to life wonderful characters and backdrops with his stories. Stories such as The Little Mermaid, The Ugly Duckling and Thumballina, just to name a few. His stories entertained and taught us about goodness, possibility, hope and resilience in the face of adversity.

We each have our own stories that we tell. But do they spread a message of love, hope, compassion, triumph, fun, excitement, adventure or do they spread a message of lack, defeat, helplessness, hopelessness, or anger?

If your stories spread the message of the latter, it's never to late to re-write them! You can start by looking at the experience and story you tell, from a different perspective.

The stories we tell may not go down in history but they will have an impact. Not only in your life, but the life of those around you.

You can make that impact grand, for you, for all - you choose.

If you may have missed my previous posts on 'Your Story' which include an exercise to re-write your story, you can access Part one & Part two via the link below.
