If you really want to improve any area of your life;

Don't Dabble - Do!

I don't know about you but I find this phrase just fun to say and easy to remember. A funny, simple little thought trigger to remind you to get up and get active 'doing' when you find yourself stuck, stagnate, unhappy or wondering why nothing's changing.

Set yourself apart from the majority who either just think about 'doing something' or try a few things here and there, give up or run to something else at the first sign of 'it's not working'.

If you really want to improve any area of your life, be it relationships, careers, finances, health...

Remember;

Don't dabble - do.

Anthony Robbins reminds us “The quickest most powerful way to build momentum is through immersion”

If there's something you really want to do, improve or change you must be prepared to give it all you've got. To learn as much as you can in whatever it is you're looking to change, improve or do. Just as they say one unhealthy meal won't make you overweight, but it won't make you loose weight either. It is a consistent daily effort.

Below is a check list of the most important things you can do to create momentum and be on your way to achieving the success you desire and know you deserve.

  1. Know what you want – clearly – specifically (add as much detail as possible) you can never hit a target if you don’t know what your aiming for! "Clarity is power, the more clear and specific you are in what you want, the faster your brain can get you there" Anthony Robbins. Along with knowing what you want, get super clear on WHY you want it. Your why is your emotional fuel to help you to keep going when the challenges show up.
  2. Find yourself a mentor - either virtual or in person. Someone that really inspires you. Learn as much as you can from them. If you're struggling or wanting to learn and grow in a specific (be it parenting, self-confidence, creating a business, cooking - the list is endless) area find the masters in that field!
  3. Feed your mind every day with information that will inspire you, challenge you and help you grow. Similar to the above; read as much as you can specific to the area you wish to change or improve, by experts in the field you’re trying to master. Include books, blogs, audios and videos. TedX talks are brilliant, you'll find some of the best in my private Personal Development for Women Facebook Group, along with some of the best free, full audiobooks (You'll also find them on my Personal Development for Life Facebook Page).
  4. Surround yourself with images, quotes and triggers to keep you on track, focused and heading in the direction you want to go. I'm sure you’re familiar with wanting something, starting then you get side-tracked. Life takes over and you wake up and a year has passed (or maybe 5).
  5. Learn to shut off from the negative, doubtful people. Those that tell you; you can’t, you’re crazy and so on. There’s a wonderful saying “When you take on board someone’s opinions, you take on board their lifestyle”
  6. Find yourself a coach. Someone who will walk with you, support you, guide you and help you stay focused on your pathway to success.

The key points above are the greatest sure fire way when partnered with consistency, persistence and determination to get you heading in the right direction and achieving the results you know you deserve.

Most people just DABBLE. Set yourself apart from the rest and DO!

I sincerely believe anyone can achieve great success, through self-education and applying the points above. But in my experience many just need direction and help until they can tap into the power and potential of their own minds.

A great place to start would be with my 'Celebrating You - Awaken Your Best Self' E-Course for Women
